The Great Canadian Beer Festival will return to Victoria this fall, equipped with a fresh emblem, unique branding, and a fresh team, bringing back the decades-old event with nearly 100 craft breweries attending.

The event, which has lately experienced a change in planners and is now run by the newly created Victoria Beer Society (VBS), works closely with the Canadian Craft Brewers Association (CCBA) to welcome a host of breweries in what will be the festival’s largest lineup ever.

The club claims the 27th anniversary beer festival “will showcase more breweries than ever, from every province of Canada, along with the Maritimes, Quebec, Eastern, Western Canada, and Yukon.”

The craft breweries of British Columbia will outnumber all other regions of all the provinces listed.

Over 60 B.C. Breweries, such as island favorites like Spinnakers Brewpub, Phillips Brewing and tinier fresh breweries like Whistle Buoy Brewing, are anticipated to attend.

With craft breweries in all Canadian provinces and territories, many of them in tiny and rural groups, the sector is redefining the role of beer manufacturing in the Canadian economy.
